Gavin wrestled for the first time this year back in February-March. He just barely made the age cutoff so he was one of the youngest and smallest kids out there, but he did so well! He was very nervous for his first big tournament, but he had lots of family support including Grandpa Randy who is a State Champion wrestler himself! He got really determined when he saw all the trophies lined up. He said, "Mom I HAVE to win one of those piston cups!" And he sure did. He took 2nd place overall only losing his last match of the day. He even had to wrestle a girl who was older and a lot bigger than him and he pinned her. Good job Gavin!!
