Conference Weekend

We thought General Conference this year was totally inspiring and one of the best yet! The theme seemed to be about how to find true happiness and applying the Atonement in our lives. When Brad and I laid down for bed we talked about what we each learned from conference and how good the talks were. We are so grateful for the love we have for each other. So grateful for our eternal marriage. Things aren't always perfect and we have many trials, but when we look at how far we've come with our children and with each other and just life in general we feel so blessed.  Our love has grown so deep because we have been there for each other through the hard times and the happy times. We are so grateful for the healing powers of the Atonement and for the gospel of Jesus Christ that keeps us safe. We pray we can continue to teach our kids the principles they need to be happy in their lives once they have left our home.

A visit with Great Grandpa
After Conference sessions were over we spent the evening at my parents house celebrating my Dad's 60th Birthday. My grandparents were there and it was so nice. We had a huge roast beef dinner feast complete with 3 different pies. Then we played a game we were all horrible at called 5 Second Rule. So much fun spending time together.

Love my Dad so much! Happy 60th!

Over the weekend I made 2 different apple dishes.  Baking is one of my favorite things. I love baking in the fall when it gets cold outside. These were perfect!
