Big Update

Us Youngs have been mighty busy and having a really fun filled summer so far! Bronson finished up his Junior Jazz season as the high point man every game. He had an average of 18 points per game. He learned a lot and had Brad as his coach. He was a lot of fun to watch. He also went to a basketball camp in Durango that he loved. He is now playing baseball as catcher and doing a fine job. He has also done some pitching this year. He is the fastest pitcher on the team and we are working on a little more accuracy now. The first time he pitched he struck out three kids in a row!! We should make it to State as we have only been beat once in overtime by one point. Brad is his baseball coach as well. He sure loves having his Dad as his coach. Bronson graduated from 4th grade with very high honors. He earned the Principal's award for scoring 95% in math and 96% in language arts on the CRT tests! He is one smart kid. He also received the Presidents Eduction Award for Outstanding Academic Excellence throughout the whole year. It is signed by the President of the United States! He earned some ribbons on field day as well for the basketball shoot and 50 yard dash. He worked really hard and refinished a swing that Brad used as a kid. We are going to hang it from a tree in our backyard. He did a really good job on it. He has gotten really good at mowing and edging the lawn. He helps me a ton with the other kids and with the vegetable and flower gardens. We are very proud needless to say!

Avery is on break from competing right now, which has been nice. She will attend a camp in August. She did an excellent job at her Spring recital! She has been having a blast playing with friends and helping me weed and water my many gardens. She is also a big helper with house work(when she wants to be). She is learning to do her own hair and always wears matching outifts. She is such a cutie. She is constantly giving Brad and I adorable pictures with notes that say how much she loves us. She graduated from 2nd grade. She earned a special award for reading. She is such an excellent reader for her age. She is already reading chapter books. She earned a first place ribbon at field day for limbo, and two second place ribbons for 50 yard dash(she fell down halfway through the race and still almost won!), and for the obstacle course. We are so proud of her.

Gavin has been learning lots of new things. I have been doing preschool with him and it is so nice to have one on one time with him. He is learning the names and location of the states on a map. He knows the pledge of allegiance, he is learning his numbers and alphabets, and he knows his colors and some shapes. He has a very good memory. He is my little helper. He had fun helping me plant flowers. He won't anyone else(not even Brad) do certain things for him, like brush his teeth. He loves his little cousin pal Brody and always wants to play with him. He is getting to where he loves having a friend over to play. He and the other kids have had a blast at our new city swimming pool. He is such a funny kid and says the craziest things. He keeps us all laughing every day!

My sweet little buddy

We have been having a ton of fun with our new camper. I think our kids would rather go camping than go to Disneyland! Brad and I have been working really hard on our yard. Our vegetable garden has peas, carrots, radishes, lettuce, corn, squash, green beans and pumpkins! We are really excited for our first harvest. We planted a ton of flowers and bushes and my pots are all doing great. It has been windy this year, but the evenings are calm and nice. We feel so blessed to live in such a beautiful place where our kids can run down the road to play. We have family all around us to share in birthdays, sports, dance and all other kinds of events. The air is so clean and it takes one minute to be on the mountain or at the temple. Brad is enjoying his job so much. He will be working more starting in August. He will be the only anesthesthetist at our hospital then and will be on call 24 hours at least 3 weeks out of the month. We haven't gone out on our boat yet, but plan to do that next week.
Brad and I went on a romantic getaway to Avon Colorado. We stayed in Bear Creek Village at a really nice Hyatt. We had two free nights for signing up for a credit card for our businesses. We got the most amazing massages. We sat in pools of mineral saline and aromatic saunas before our massage. It was one of the most relaxing things we have ever done. Too bad we can't do that once a month! After our stay in Avon we went to Denver and stayed for a few days. We saw some movies and had a nice relaxing time together. We recently refinished two of our bathrooms ourselves (new tile and paint) so we shopped for new towels and other stuff to make our remodeling complete. It was so nice to get away just the two of us. I love my husband so much. He is so good to me and treats me like a queen. Can't wait for our next trip together. Here's some pictures of what we've been up to.
Brad and the kids went on a fun camping trip to Devil's Canyon while I ran a 70 mile race in Moab with 5 other girls. I will post pictures of that later!
Singing in the hammock with Dad is fun to do, fun to do, fun to do!

Bronson has become a really good motorcycle rider. His Uncle Cory built him this jump and he was catching some good air!

Fun loaded! Was your get away with Brad in Brianhead? It looks familiar to me.

And you look fabulous as usual. Seriously..... can't we just be neighbors so that you can whip my booty into shape? On the other hand, what would that do for my big 5foot 10 Ogre complex?

Love the update! Looks like you did this a month ago (sometimes I forget to look now that it doesn't show when you've updated:) Hope to see more of your family this summer! Glad you, Brad, and Bronson stopped by a couple weeks ago! Always fun visiting with you guys!
